Palliser Furniture, founded in 1944, is a renowned Canadian upholstery manufacturer, widely known in the industry for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design. Established with a vision to enrich the comfort of home, Palliser has evolved into a leading manufacturer, offering an extensive array of premium customizable upholstery.
As part of the strategy to elevate the brand, Palliser’s marketing team began exploring ways to use 3D product models originally created for an online configurator in new and engaging ways. In May 2021, Palliser and CGIFurniture crossed their paths for the first time, setting the stage for a collaborative venture. That’s when our team started using different types of CG visuals for the brand, from furniture modeling to product animation. Let’s take a look at some of them!
Detailed 3D Models of Upholstered Furniture
Our team of artists meticulously replicated Palliser’s armchairs and sofas in 3D using provided photographs of the actual furniture as references. The precision in recreating the geometry, design intricacies, and every stitch resulted in an astonishingly realistic appearance. Once the 3D models were approved by the client, our team moved on to 3D texturing services and rendering the final assets.
Upholstered Furniture Silo 3D Renders
After adding textures and fine-tuning material attributes on the models, our CG experts positioned the result against a white backdrop for rendering silo images. Thanks to the high-quality rendering settings, every minute detail of leather materials is remarkably apparent and photorealistic.
Lifestyle 3D Visualization for Upholstered Furniture
To create these visuals, our artists integrated the previously made furniture models provided by Palliser into various interior 3D scenes. The Palliser team aimed to present their products in environments that accentuated their advantages and features. So we made sure that the final lifestyle renders looked like images from interior design magazines with Palliser upholstery as main characters.
Product Animation for Upholstered Furniture
Our team also provided the client with 3D product animation services. The resulting videos were intended for both in-store displays and online use. The 3D video showcases multiple upholstered items as well as various configurations of the same product within a stylish interior scene. This short feature animation effectively highlights the brand’s diverse product range and presents the many available design options and configurations in an engaging sequence.
Product 3D Visualization for E-Commerce Visual Marketing
The array of visuals created during our collaboration provided Palliser with content suitable for diverse platforms. A significant portion of the images were used for the product pages of their website. The remaining visuals were shared across various social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
