Novare is a young, innovative furniture brand founded in 2019 in the US. The company has developed a one-of-a-kind robotic technology that became the basis for its unique products — accessible wall cabinets. At first sight, they look like regular cabinets. However, they don’t just stay in one place. When needed, Novare cabinets can move downwards as much as 3 feet, bringing their contents within arm’s reach. That allows people of all ages and abilities to safely reach and use kitchen cabinets, garage storage, closet shelves, and so on.
To visualize how their product would function, the brand contacted our 3D rendering company to help them create 3D storage furniture animation. During this collaboration, our experts at CGIFurniture produced three videos. These animations depict the cabinets in real-life settings and showcase how they work. At that point, the furniture had not been produced yet. So, the CG videos were particularly helpful in studying the product’s motion and mechanics. Also, they were used to communicate the concept vision to engineers who then created the first physical prototype.

Our CGI specialists used CAD files and detailed visual references provided by the client to create a 3D storage furniture animation that shows how the unit works. First, our experts built an accurate 3D model of the cabinet. And then, they placed it into a balanced lifestyle scene the client had selected from our extensive library of 3D assets. The setting perfectly matches the look of the product without overpowering it. This way, the viewers are able to see the storage unit in context and can easily picture what it will look like in the homes of the final customers.

This CG video shows a different variation of Novare’s accessible storage unit. In this case, they provided our 3D furniture animation specialists with not only CAD files and visual references, but also footage of a working prototype. The main goal here was to get the motion of the cabinet right. After this task was completed, the client wanted to put the 3D model of the storage unit in context. He chose a scene from our library, and our experts gave it a slight modification according to his request.
